Canfield Brothers Formula 1-My Pick for 2007!

by Derek Roque
Well Interbike 2006 is long over and after getting to kick back and relax I was able to finally think about the finer things about the Big Show.

With all of the sweet rides that I checked out at the outdoor demo and inside the Sands convention center I would have to pick the Canfield Brothers Formula 1 as my top pick for 2007 bikes.I didn't have a chance to ride this badass machine at this particular outdoor demo event, but I did ride Chris' own down the infamous Flying Monkey in Virgin Utah. While riding the Formula 1 through some of the craziest rock gardens I've ever witnessed and stomping them with ease, gave me the confidence that I would love to have on a race course.

Check out the attention to detail on this frame TIGHT

The Canfields have a resume that would turn most heads, these bros have put it together with riding knowledge and progressive thinking to develop one sweet ride that I would make a donation to the sperm bank for. The Formula 1 is a time tested, reliable, confidence building bike that would feel at home from the rugged Garbonzo of Whistler to your very own backyard trails. Check out www.canfieldbrothers.com for all of the technical info that you may need for building up a new dream racer for your quiver.

Fully built up ride, ready to destroy times on a race course near you

That being said about the bike, there is not much else I'm allowed to mention cause of the Vegas rule "What happens there stays there!" so ...... You do the math great video premieres + 2 days of outdoor demo, visits from Elvis and a killer HQ:

I own a Balance and ride it everywhere. Its a mini DH bike with 16.25 chainstays and 6 in of travel. Formula One is more DH with its longer wheelbase and chainstays. They do have a Lucky coming out soon though that will bridge the gap with 8 inches of travel and more freeride oriented geometry.

EASILY one of the finest big hit bikes around, hands down, and i've never seen one, let alone ridden. when you know you know, it looks absolutly stunning, i've never come across a bad review of one (and i just had a good hunt), put it this way, i'd CONSIDER (definatly underlined) swapping my chromo eight for one.
btw i have ridden the demo eight (which i guess is v. similar to the nine and the seven) and i could not say the same for them.
ledgend frame, keep it up brothers canfield.

Way to be positive about the bike, but doesnt make sense to judge the bike based on how you imagine it rides. Give a bike a try then give your opinion.

Sic bikes just bought the "Balance" model. The shop I bought it from the owner has one and rides the woodlot all the time. I talked to one of the bro's Chris and he said the balance was the best choice for freeriding.
